Conservation Tourism Meets Multi-Platform Media

Conservation tourism on Con Dao Island is not merely a concept — it is a sustainable development path intrinsically linked to the preservation of one of Vietnam's most precious ecosystems. The goal of this communications project went beyond tourism promotion: it was to elevate public awareness of our collective responsibility to protect the natural world.

At Marcoms, we believe communications should not only promote — they should create positive, lasting impact. The "Con Dao — A Beacon of Conservation Tourism" campaign is an exemplary project combining visual storytelling with a multi-platform media strategy to celebrate the irreplaceable ecosystem of Con Dao National Park.

Content Strategy: Making Conservation Inspiring

The challenge was to translate complex conservation science — the life cycle of sea turtles, the rarity of dugongs and black squirrels — into content that moves audiences emotionally.

  1. Research & Orientation — In-depth study of the ecosystem housing over 1,000 rare plant and animal species, building a content framework that is both educational and highly aesthetic
  2. Core Message — Portraying Con Dao not merely as a tourist island, but as a "living heritage" to be cherished and protected by the community

TVC & Documentary Production: Authentic Visual Language

  1. Cinematography — Professional equipment capturing the island's beauty from sea grass beds to ancient forests, processed at high resolution to meet national television broadcaster standards
  2. Storytelling — Scripts crafted to guide viewers from wonder at nature's beauty to a personal commitment to conservation

Multi-Channel Distribution Strategy

  1. National Television (HTV9) — Coordinating news coverage broadcast on Ho Chi Minh City Television, building credibility and broad community reach
  2. Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) — A 3-month bilingual (Vietnamese–English) content campaign reaching domestic and international audiences; TikTok optimised with conservation short-videos targeting younger generations

Scope of Work

  1. Media Planning — Detailed communications planning and budget management
  2. Video Production — Broadcast-quality video production for public release and competition
  3. Social Media Management — Building and operating online channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  4. PR & Media Relations — Coordinating and producing news content for HTV9

The "Con Dao — A Beacon of Conservation Tourism" project successfully raised visitor awareness of responsible tourism and affirms our capability to execute social-impact communications campaigns with lasting, meaningful value.
